Samsung Rumored To Release New A8

Samsung is rumored to be releasing a new Galaxy A series generation of phones. This rumor was started due to a user manual uploaded on Samsung’s website, but the details provided are fairly limited. One of the highlight features is a dual front facing camera with Live Focus, something great for selfies, but there isn’t any information on the megapixels. The manual also notes that the phone will have a slim bezel, 18:9 display, similar to many recently released phones. Another interesting note is that the fingerprint sensor will be underneath the camera this time. It looks like Samsung is listening to its users.

It seems as though the names will be changed as well, similar to 2017’s A5 and A7 phone being named A8 and A8 Plus. On the software side, they’re supposed to come shipped with Android 7.1.1 and work with Bixby and Samsung Pay. Thankfully, it seems to sport a headphone jack, as well as the now standard USB-C port. As we get closer to January, we are more likely to find out finalized details about the phone.
