Twitch has released an Alex skill so you watch all your favorite Twitch streams through your echo. Now that we can buy an Amazon Echo with a screen, specifically the Echo Show and the Echo Dot, developers are making apps and programs to take advantage of this functionality. You can watch a channel, find new streamers, and look up specific games that are streaming.
In addition to those expected functionalities, you can also set Alexa to send you a notification or alert you when one of your favorite channels begins streaming. Though the Alexa skill is designed for use with an Echo that has a screen, you could theoretically use a regular Echo and just listen to streams, but come on.
